Decent sushi, decent price. The menu is very long and there are lots of rolls and sides to choose from. We ordered the Rainbow Roll, Tiger Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll. Fish tasted fresh and the sauces were nice. Sushi is made fresh and there is the option to order in or take out. On the menu, there are lots of varieties of “party platters” if you’re looking for a lot of sushi for a lot of people. Recommend for a quick-fix-sushi-grab that doesn’t break the bank.

Cold. And not the good kind of cold like a sunomono salad cold. No, this was salmon nigiri fresh from the icy depths of the freezer cold. The vibe inside? Imagine a dentist’s waiting room, but sadder. While the cashier/waiter was super friendly but even he couldn’t warm up the dead atmosphere. Honestly, this place might fare better as a grab-and-go spot. You’d expect low expectations and might be pleasantly surprised. But for dine-in? It’s a nope nope sushi from me.

I drove my friend up to San Diego from TJ. She mentioned she wanted sushi and her little baby had a long day so we wanted a place we could sit down and eat quickly. A quick search on Google pulled up Su Su Sushi. I love sushi and it’s really hard to go wrong with any sushi in San Diego because it’s all pretty fresh. Su Su is a simple place. You go up to the counter, order your food, and sit down at a table. We ordered pork buns and poke bowls. All of it was fresh and good.

Ok. It‘s relatively cheap and i never mind that as long as the sushi is fresh. I had a spicy tuna roll which was ok. According to other recensions the sushi is supposed to be fresh. I ordered tuna sashimi 8 pieces at 17 Us Dollar. The slices were frozen, obviously the fish taken out of the freezer and the only fresh thing was that it was freshly cut. which means the fish is NOT FRESH. I asked about it. They said thats how they do it always. I refused to pay the sashimi.

I’ve been coming here since this place opened, every experience has been a welcoming one and it’s nice to have a local sushi spot with friendly faces, I’ve brought my family here numerous time to take rolls to-go, and recently started dining-in they are very kind , always greeted with a smile they make sure tables are always clean, the food is to our liking, water cups are full, I love how they renovated the place and am very excited as to what they continue to do with the restaurant. Their rolls are authentic and always fresh!
