Very dedicated and diligent cooks, but the recipe and restaurant style is just your typical non-authentic rendition of sushi. The fish is swimming in sauce in the poke bowl.

More a To Go restaurant than a seat down and eat. They moved and are inside a bakery that has a store next door for open seating and a tablet to order food. Tables and floors dirty. Not the ambiance for a seat down experience. No hostess or server but still same price as old location. Drinks are not served with your food so you have to exit the dining store to go next door and collect your drinks. The food was ok, lower quality than I expected based on reviews. It seems that the quality lowered after changing locations.

We had a great time at Fin and Scales, cute place with nice service. We started with the Striped Bass Carpaccio and the Salmon Spring Rolls which both tasted so fresh and were delicious. For our mains the speciality rolls were devine we enjoyed the Mt Fuji and Abundance. Can’t wait to come back and see what else the new management has in store.

Fin and Scale is a gorgeous spot! From the modern interior designs all the way to the super friendly staff there if you need anything. The large menu of options starting with appetizers, sushi rolls, drinks and dessert were all so delicious and plated nicely! I highly recommend coming here when visiting New Haven!
