    Shige's has the highest quality food & some of the best service in town! The restaurant is always welcoming whether you're going out for a nice date night or a casual quick bite. Nothing here disappoints! Yuki spoiled us to a very impressive chef's choice roll that we won't forget! Thank you guys for all you do!

    Shige express does not disappoint, ever! They have a variety of unique and delicious sushi rolls (if you like scallops then get the Bonzai roll!) and I have been working my way through the menu and haven't found a single thing I didn't like. My ultimate favorite is actually only on the lunch menu, so if you're ever there for lunch I highly recommend trying the Oyakodon. It's DELICIOUS! Favorite appetizer is the Kitty Kat Supreme (scallops, octopus, and tobiko all in a delicious mayo based sauce then slathered on top of rice). And if you like sashimi you are in for a treat, the presentation is just gorgeous 😍 plus the servers are wonderfully sweet ladies and the sushi chef is not only skilled but so patient and kind to let me practice my Japanese when I visit. All in all, this is a wonderful spot for some really authentic tasting Japanese food. I hope you all give it a try!

    I keep seeing ads of this place on Facebook and I was like, the sushie in the boat water looks so fun.. I'm glad we went it was such a fun experience. The service is very good. It had exceeded my expectatiod and it feels authenthic Japanese restaurant inside.. Real Japanese people will prepare your food. I've visited this place few times and brought people and I was never disappointed with their food and their service. This place deserve a lot of love. Wishing for more people to support this business. Few recommendations: 1. Please update the book menu, it would be nice if it will look neat and new/updated. 2. Hope they would install a blind or something to cover the clear windows. It can get pretty warm, once the sun is out.

    If you love traditional Japanese classics like udon and bento box, this is the spot! The food is authentic and not overly salted. The sushi rice is fresh and well seasoned - perfectly cooked. Excited to eat again.

    Shige Express is actually a full service Japanese restaurant.. don't let the name fool you. In my opinion the best traditional Japanese restaurant in the Treasure Valley. The fish is always top quality and the tempura is always excellent. Be prepared the portions are large especially if you order the bento(highly recommended) Always our favorite go to for Japanese food.
