It was a surprise moving to this small town and finding a Japanese restaurant. Overall, it's good food, although I think the shrimp tempura is bought already battered because it doesn't have the delicate batter the vegetable tempura has and I've had better. But I'm happy to have the option of a real restaurant in Franklinton. It's one of only 2 restaurants I can take out of town guests to.

Alright... this place is way out there, but for the locals it is an absolute dream. Great sushi made to order with top quality ingredients. One thing that really surprised me was how fast the large plate of sushi came out. We ordered a $30 tray of four rolls including a humongous volcano roll! We got stuffed and had to take quite a bit home. If you're in the area and itching for sushi... you can't go wrong here.

Very good sushi and establishment. Food was very good, establishment is very clean and the staff very professional. Parking is half hazard at best. You can try street parking, behind in the dirt parking lot, across the street parking or hope for best in CVS next door. Miso was decent, but skimpy on miso paste. Clear soup was tasty. Lunch special for two rolls and three nori wrapped sushi was perfect and clean tasting. Prices for food were fair but declined desert on mochi due to 2.50-ish per piece. Over all, I'm interested in returning to try more. November update. They've added beer to the menu.

Wanted a quick pickup dinner and swing by right before they closed up, so not much to say for the interior, but it was nice. Favorite was the Pretty Girl sushi roll, will definitely get it again! The hibachi steak and shrimp with fried rice was also good. Clear soup was good, but a little strong on the anise.. Definitely a good spot to tryout.
