4/22/25 I did not know this place was there, it used to be a pizza place. I've been to Sushi Train restaurants before. Normally, these are nothing extraordinary, just run of the mill, grab a quick bite of mediocre sushi and leave. The first thing I noticed was that it was very clean, even the floor. There was a huge selection of sushi on the conveyor belt, even though it was between lunch and dinner. All of the sushi that I chose was very fresh. The rolls were not big and they had the usual three pieces to a plate, but there was quite a bit of filling. They also had a fresh strawberries and oranges... mini whipped cream eclairs...endeme... and fresh seaweed that did not taste fishy. I also ordered Maguro. I could not believe how big and fresh both slices of tuna were! I was there during happy hour so even though I had seven or eight plates ( I took several plates of strawberries mini eclairs to go) my final bill was incredibly reasonable. I never believe it when I read five star reviews, I think 50% of them are Bots. So I am leaving a 4-star review with the comment that this is a five star conveyor belt sushi pit stop. The service was good. The lady brought me water as soon as I sat down. I have a hard time walking, and a gentleman was kind enough bring my check and pay my bill where I sat. I actually called my daughter as soon as I left and told her I had found a new restaurant for us to go to. I can't wait to go back it was just delightful.

My first real sushi restaurant experience won't be my last. DELICOUS! Reasable "Happy Hour" prices (all day!). The colorful, helpful menu identifies which items have raw fish - and include enticing names like Tiger Roll, Dragon Roll, and Monster Roll!. These, and many others roll by on the sushi rail (think conveyor belt) which you grab your choices off on. So fun!

Sushi Zen is hands down the best sushi in town! The atmosphere is perfect for a sake night, and the prices are more reasonable compared to other places. I love that you can order half rolls to try different flavors! They have best sake collection and as someone who enjoys sushi and has tried many spots in town, this one is by far the best. The service is always friendly, and the staff is so welcoming every time I visit. It's a great spot for date nights or casual gatherings. They even have a sushi rail, which is super fun to watch and grab dishes from. Highly recommend it, but be sure to arrive early as it fills up quickly!

Great Variety of sushi both you can order and on the conveyor belt. I went during happy hour which means every plate is like 3 bucks each. Would come again.

Great sushi experience, you can choose just enough for you with many selections of Japanese food to experience. All fresh and appetizing. Staff are friendly and helpful. The price is surprisingly cheap. Great foodie experience when your around Portland, Oregon.
