Make sure you call first. It was a crowded night and my family waited for an hour to be seated, it might have been longer but another customer kindly suggested that we were waiting first. Then our food arrived one person at a time, my 8yo shared with our 5yo, my wife and kids left and I stayed until I could get the last meal to go. The food was delicious, but everything else was a mess. We expected a wait, but didn’t expect to be treated as unimportant.

Amazing establishment. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and for a more than reasonable price. They use order forms to make selections from the menu, and the wait staff are more than friendly. The place itself was empty of customers when I went with my father, which sucks because it means so many people are missing out on this great place. If I lived in the area I’d come as often as I could. I suggest anyone with the opportunity to dine here to take advantage of the chance.

Intimate but not cramped or loud, lovely decor. Best food I had all day, after 8 hours bouncing around Dupont. The eel bowl is great-- hot, filling, & tasty, and if you like sweet drinks DEFINITELY try the plum wine!! New favorite wine!!! Green tea mochi ice cream is a restrained bitter-sweet that's complimented by the almost candy-sweet wine. Great meal, great price, I only wish I was in DC more so I could eat here all the time!!

Such beautiful decor and warm vibes, super fresh fish and tasty sushi, and very affordable! Such a great time. The tempura was very light and clean tasting. And the plum wine was delicious! Highly recommend.

Definitely a hidden gem in the city for solid Japanese cuisine. Been there for decades and service, food, atmosphere is consistently good. Love the staff there, it is truly a neighborhood establishment where locals like going. Everything is delicious every time and doesn’t break the bank!
